Andrew Wyatt is an Australian national who has over 20 years of research and project management experience in the Mekong Region. He has a B.Sc. from Macquarie University, with a 1st class Honors in Geography (Natural Resource Management) from The University of Sydney. In 2004, he completed his Ph.D. in the field of Political Ecology at the School of Geosciences, University of Sydney. Since 2003, Andrew has been based in Vietnam where he has worked as a Technical Advisor to a number of development projects, worked as an independent consultant evaluating development-aid projects, and held a number of advisory positions with government and non-government agencies. Since 2013, he has worked for IUCN Vietnam as its Mekong Delta Program Manager, overseeing the implementation of IUCN’s major projects in the Mekong Delta. Andrew’s academic and professional experience has spanned diverse fields such as Climate Change Adaptation, Integrated Biodiversity Conservation and Community Development, Community-Based Natural Resource Management and Co-management, Integrated Water Resources Management, and Political Ecology.
